Founded by Bjorn Barja and Matt McClure in January of 2011, StratOS is currently developing WhyWait, a low cost, mobile ordering and transaction product for the hospitality industry.   Our goal is to change the pre-existing service models by utilizing technology to shoulder some of the more tedious tasks of ordering and cashing out while at restaurants and bars.  By providing the ability to order and pay on demand, business owners will be able to boost service levels and create new means to generate more revenue.
In the future StratOS will deliver a cutting-edge Point of Sale (POS) system that focuses on operator mobility and innovative service for use in the hospitality and retail industries.   We want to provide business owners a low cost, cloud-based POS system which utilizes consumer off-the-shelf products; this offering would allow businesses to easily implement, make real-time decisions, and be technologically relevant at a fraction of the cost they currently pay their POS providers. The agile, lightweight POS platform would also allow for mobile transactions and provide enhanced applications for increasing business revenue.
